My First Hackathon: GreenHack
Yesterday I finally attended a hackathon! My very first one, in fact. Presented by Hackers at Cambridge, GreenHack was a hackathon aimed at tackling issues around sustainability.
My team chose to implement a solution to one of the projects suggested by the organiser’s partners, namely the Manufacturer Lifecycle Measurer. This involved getting familiar with Microsoft’s Custom Vision Service and API for the backend, and the Flask web framework for the frontend.
Sadly, we did not manage to fully complete our project in time for hand-in. It was still a fun learning experience, though! And the free T-shirt wasn’t bad, either. :)
